saves are for pk hit dam is for bashing saves for bashing is a waste of time cause you can't really save vs poison which is main spell cast on you by mobs. but in pk saves reduce all magic damage taken eg fireshield fireball. and on top of this gives a chance to stop a curse or dispel or any maladic...
