i heard it was amazing, and that was from people who arent into sci-fi at all

If you can wait 2 weeks, i'll watch it when i'm in japan anad tell you :P
But the preview looks sick, and as above, friends who arent into star trek loved it...
But I'm a fan of TNG, Voyager, DS9 and enterprise, so I'll prolly be biased :)
EIther way, just go see it for the experience...
Considering seeing it at the IMAX in Sydney just for kicks.

its worth seeing. you may be aggravated if you are a trekkie, but as a person who isnt obsessed with the series but who has enjoyed it, i would say you will enjoy watching it and will get a few laughs as well. seeing a few characters develop is enoyable as well as being great effects.
