Magical weapon run help

Does anyone know how to get past the Genidian guard with the chapter house key? I tried bribing him with 25k up to 500k in increments of 25k, and we tried killing him (he just slayed us).

you only bribe the gate guard at the front. my guess is you are chasing the wrong guy. ill go on the run with you next time but its been so long i dont know exactly which guy your talking about
