Remove spells
Ok, there is no easy way for me to post a poll for this topic. Unless I was to post 110 individual polls, and I don't feel like doing that, and i'm sure you wouldn't want to complete 110 individual polls. So, here is the list of spells, and I want you to go through them and ONLY chose the ones you feel should be removed, with a brief discription as to why. "Never used" is an acceptable discription. I chose the ones that you feel should be removed, thinking the list would be smaller. So, lets hear your opinions here.

gate / I dont know what it does and i never use it.
refresh / Tried to use doesnt really work if it got fixed i would use it more.
ventriloquate / never use.

lightning breath / tried to use but doesnt do enough area damage to bother with.

acid blast - Useless as is
cause critical - Don't Use
change sex - More of a annoyance, not worth anything
colour spray - Stupid spell to put on any weapon does 1/6 damage of fireball
create food - Since we can't die from hunger in this game wahts the point?
detect evil - Whats the point? Read works better...
detect magic - Another pointless spell
gate - Errr not sure what this does?
refresh - Very useful thought you might want to look into it so you don't actually have to have move to cast it...

peek - helps pk a bit but its a useless skill

Edit - Fastdraw/Sheath - I never use them (Others do apparently)
Edit - mass invis - pointless can just cast invis on self (everyone should already have invis learned or already on EQ)
harm - useless
Edit - cure light - useless (you can just use heal)
voodoo - pretty much pointless
Edit - continual light - Vampires should automatically be able to see in the dark. Mortals can use torches.

Continual light is definetly NOT useless. Nor is fastdraw. Cure light is used by beasted vamps so their beast doesnt go down when healing morted players. Reveal is a passive skill that allpws you to look at what a player has in their inventory. And protection, even tho it doesnt add any visible stats, prevents 25% of dmg from the opposite alignment in combat
refresh and mana both are useful in long drawn out engagements vs mobs.
I think all of the spells listed above absolutely need to stay in the game. And sorry for typos, im on my cell.

Well i didnt say Continual Light and fast draw were useless i just never use them (vamps should automatically be able to see in the dark being nocturnal and all...just saying..lol)..as for cure light its easy to get your beast up its much harder to get it to go down. I agree with refresh, mana and protection.

O_o apparently you haven't had super high beast before odius the final 10 points takes about 5-6 hours, while going down 10-0 take like 5-30 minutes probably...

what is the purpose of reveal? I guess I don't see the value of it. Mind explaining it to me? I know peek looks at the inventory of someone if trained. I guess I'm not seeing what reveal does.

REVEAL is a spell that, when cast on another player, reveals their true nature,
ie if they are a vampire in human form, it turns them from vampire to human.

Well i just read the help file for Beast...seems a bit out dated since I started at 15 beast..lol not 50. anyhow all it says about "golconda" 0 Beast immunity to sun. From what i was told about having higher beast is anything below 90 is basically pointless unless ur golconda. So the benefits to having 0 beast far out weigh the benefit to having beast in my opinion. i mean ya you get some added damage and some invis bonuses but id rather be immune to sun vs getting huge damage from it for a little extra damage and an invis bonus..lol. I suppose if you really want that high of a beast then ya you would need that spell. Lets look at it thsi way sure helmut is cleaning up the code and probably 1/15 of players have beast other than 0, if you take out cure light how are they supposed to heal anyone? If I was them and heal lowered my beast i would just stake everyone or just leave them to rot, that wouldnt' be fun now would it
Besides Helmut is looking to clear up spells from the game if its something the majority of the players can do without vs 1 or 2 players using it, and not have a major impact on gameplay...then i say begone with it..lol
