start from Cain at Tristam to gain entry to Diablo, Lord of Terror (remembering that talons are like 12 hit 12 dam +6 str -6 saves and also are needed to get access to the ii weapons( also weigh 666 so you need to be able to carry that)). there are lots of parts of the zone that you can cast spells but a lot you cannot as well. if you have no protean you will need maybe 3 wands of cure poison 3 pills of mount, couple of cure blind potions if you dont have auspex (remembering that potions and wands cannot be taken from bags when blind or heavily weakened), 2 heal wands if with a friend and maybe a few heal potions if you think you can survive a few rounds of 3 tough mobs beating on you and you want to have to flee less. so go to Cain in Tristam and give him a The Staff of Lazarus, this will transport you to the start of the zone and if you want to get your staff back straight away in case of crashes then relog. pick any direction and read the quiz on the ground, i think syntax is look ground, and then say 'answer to quiz whatever it should be'. as a hint i shall post all the answers i have previously found - not saying this is all the possible quizzes ..... snowman, dice, fish, a deck of cards, time, nothing, memories, temper, kung fu, blackboard, apathy, snail, breath, moon, eye, glove, parents, goldmoon, jack frost

1. is where you start (go one north to be in middle of northern passage) 2. is west door to get a key for entry to 4/5 accessed from southern middle room (open east; east; any direction and then answer riddle to get transed to 1.2) 3. is east door to get a key for entry to 4/5 accessed from southern middle room (open west; west; any direction and then answer riddle to get transed to 1.3) 4. is a room full of mobs that are otherwise useless (one north from middle of southern passage) 5. has a summoner which when he points at you will teleport you out unless you flee regen and come back ( once he dies you can enter pentagram to get to next lvl) (two north from middle of southern passage)


now imagine that 1. also has a 1.2 and 1.3 (as in they connect to north passage through a one way exit as if they were overlapping room 1) which is where after you go into 2 or 3 and then pick a room to answer a riddle you will be transferred to. there will be two mobs in 1.2 and 1.3 and one of each room will have a key ( gold and silver). it doesnt matter whether you go into 2 or 3 first so i would suggest fleeing to improve your closeness to one or the other to start with and then a mixture of flee/bash to get to the other key.


once you enter the pentagram you will be in a maze. the maze has western , eastern and southern exits. you need to get to west first and cast a guardian at the entrance to this mini zone(once you enter it is nospell) and hunt gorlash for his key. once you have the key hunt guardian to get back out to maze. remember that if you find east or south before west you can always mark them with a guardian demon so you can scry them to make sure you know which one you want to hunt later. next up you need to go east and this minizone has only 2 exits per room so you just need to flee/bash through to the end to kill the main serpent for his key and then flee/bash back to the entrance. when back into maze remember that this is the last chance to cast spells and restock any wands or pills and then head to south with your mount or protean walk on water. once inside you need to find a key on one of the mobs (random so just peek at every mob to see which one has it) and then find a chest on the ground which is unlocked by the key and then you get the key from the chest to the next zone ( the chest is kind of w 3s e s or close to from entrance). then head back towards the entrance and head east from it. once you gain access to the next minizone congratulations because now comes the hard part. you need to flee in a south east direction and you can hunt diablo when you get a chance but i would suggest cancelling hunt any time you can due to flee lag with hunt. there will be a lot of spawns that can quickly group together making for some harder rooms so try and flee through where you can. eventually you will make it to a room with a portal...... do not enter it as it will trans you to executioner. however south of this portal is diablo. when you enter the room diablo will call his brothers mephisto and baal and it is also private so if you kill diablo and cant pick up the talon due to poison and weight issues then you will not be able to come back in so always try and flee when diablo is say 1-2% so you can walk back in and get minimum stacks of poison before looting diablo corpse. so to restate once diablo dies then baal and mephisto stay summoned in the room but as long as diablo is alive they are unsummoned if you flee (same as pandora) once you get a talon you get insta transed out so you would need to repeat for a 2nd talon.
