The clans is the first that comes to mind..
addition of cappa/trem
update justicars (aswell as wizlist)
and clan websites

People have had issues with league in the past... mob deaths are kind of silly and are a huge detriment to your score for no reason.

News could be updated with a bit more of a schpeal about what has gone on in the mud, new things over the years, etc

Help/FAQs could include player FAQs that we have written over the years, or the justicars could put something together.

Marking as sticky so your comments dont disappear until I get my tail end in gear to update the items you guys list. I'm going to do most of the changes you guys submit all at once, so let them build up.

Expect these changes to be done in the next couple of weeks. So, help me find the old content. :)

Can we please change the players league? The K/D portion should be based off your status, not off kills-deaths. Getting capped 10 times as a vagabond means absolutely nothing. Mdeaths also mean absolutely nothing. Mkills also mean very little, it is absurd that lastaris is ranked #13. I mean really it should just be based off highest to lowest status, then the other stuff should be used as tiebreakers. Damn thats a good idea.
If(status1==status2) then if((kills1/deaths1)==(kills2/deaths2) then if(mkills1=mkills2) ya dig?

theoretically if ghnat had been capped 32 times as a vagabond, then as a hero he would be treated by the league as a vagabond. doesnt make any sense.

Me personally, I think everyone should just suck it up and the league should be based off status then experience gained. everyone will know exactly where they stand. i know i sure as hell read everyone that's my status anyway after i punch them the first time.

Nommy should be #1 on the league and lastaris should be with the other advents, I don't think thats really debatable. Also it'd be nice if we could access the league from the mud as well, I think we're missing out on some important functionality thats a must for a pure pk mud.

The wizlist is updated :D
but yeah the rest needs updated badly. The website is old....
How would we go about fixing clan websites... I can update Ventrue but the questions is where to go?

i love it when people talk about me:) makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
other league systems actually have ranks for each slot eg wimpy (most mob deaths) ,deadly (most pks), bloodthirsty (most mkills) blah blah.
all that said why change something that isnt broken. people have worked hard to get where they are on this system. silly to change that because then you would actually know what exact status someone is. whereas atm people can be any of 4 different status ranks within a status bracket(warrior, slayer, advent, hero blah blah)

It is broken. The ranks are not right. An improvement could be made with ease. Some people won't like it, some will, but that doesn't matter because the ranks will be more accurate (not perfect). Lets be frank, lastaris is above sonja.

Definitely agree with Bair on this one. Mdeaths and Vagabond Pdeaths mean nothing and cause many players to be inaccurately listed.

I like the idea of league rank being determined by status then total experience (combined cost of all stats trained as I understand it), but I'd even take it a step further. Why not some sort of weighted average of status, total experience, maximum quest points ever worn by the player at a given time, stances trained, spells trained, and weapons trained? The last three would be moot beyond newbies, but they'd give new players an objective evaluation of their competition. The maximum quest points worn by a player wouldn't mean much at higher status levels since everyone is on a fairly even playing field, but middle status could benefit. For instance, take two 100-year-old advents. One spent the past 50 hours bashing, and the other spent the past 50 hours questing. Shouldn't they be evaluated relatively evenly on the league?

A weighted average with an emphasis on status would allow a huge, well-quested champ to be ranked higher than a smaller warrior, but the difference would need to be drastic. And obviously status weights should be based on class, not actual value (there shouldn't be any difference between 10 status and 14 status as far as the league is concerned).

Whatever seems accurate. It's just ludicrous that mkills count for anything - some 20k players bash many mobs that give 10k experience, some of them bash fewer mobs that give 23k experience. Why do the former players deserve higher ranks?

We need to have the league discussion on a different thread. I have no intentions on modifying the league at the moment. I know that many people want this to be looked at, but much thought has to go into this and I'm only interested in old content that people noticed needed to be updated. NOT including the league CODE at the moment.

Some kind of 'news' page, probably as the main page would be nice. I know that kind of stuff goes up on the forums, but your average person looking at our page won't visit the forums at all. This would be a nice way for new players and/or returning players to update themselves easily. Also, believe it or not, with freshly updated content on our main page, properly anchor texted, will move the site up in the search engines and maybe attract more players. Just my twocents, i didn't read the whole thread.
