Here are areas known for the better EQ. Not everything is listed.

  • Deep* - Harpoon of the Titans (Must be 5k hp to enter. Mana and move does not need to be 5k)
  • Thalesia - Magical Anklets, Magical Weapons, Surcoat, Crown, Purse
  • Mordor* - Crumbling parchments from Gandalf, Rings of Power from Sauron (Must be 3k hp to enter Mordor)
  • Camelot - Gauntlets of Bravery, Lamorak's Spurs
  • Hades - Claws of Typheous (Boots with fly spell on it)
  • Vampire Pits* - Holy crosses from Tremere vampire, Blackhands from Cappadocian vampire
  • Egremont - Quartz Armplates (cost 37k Gold, hunt egremont armourer. Armplates have no spell on it and is anti-good (evil) aligned)
  • Wyrmberg* - Major part of the armour rune (10khp required)
  • Delain* - Major part of the weapon rune ((10khp required))
  • Sarangrave - Thorned Wreath (headgear from Mored Wraith), Rune-Carved Stakes (permanent stake) from Essence of Swamp, Blackened chain from child bathed in green light, fluid bracers from Water Weird.


*Certain requirements need to be met in order to enter these areas.

  • Newbie Start-Up Guide by Rescue (23 May 2021, still in works)


  • When you first enter the mud, these are the few things you must type.
  • ANSI - So that you can appreciate the mud in its glorious colours.
  • Autoexit - To see all available exits instantly when you enter a room.
  • Autogold - To loot all gold from corpse.
  • Autosac - Sacrifice all unLOOTED eqs inside a corpse, along with the corpse, for some gold.
  • Autostance crane - Your first stance that you HAVE to activate to ensure smooth killing.
  • Autoloot - Grabs everything inside the corpse of the mob after it has been killed.


  • Note: Get all the complete set of eqs from the ghouls (after saying Take Me Home at the executioner), the area is westwards. Remember to kill the 2nd mob "Nosferatu Ghoul", get the bag from the corpse, it is autoclaim. Then go back 1e, 3s, and 1e (back to spirit of Newbie), and type SAY PILL. You will be given a pill by the spirit. Just put into the bag and keep saying PILL till your bag is full of them, 24 pieces is max.


  • Next, go to grand knight paladins @ Redferne's Residence. When you reach him, go 1s, 1w, 2n, u, 3n and open east. You will see a siberian tiger. Kill it and you will get "A collar of opals and emeralds" that has fireshield. This item is REALLY important in helping you bash up to 1k across. After which you should be just nice with 6 hours of play, ready to align good, train avatar at 20yrs old. Refer to the guide below for things that you may obtain at your own effort without much help.

The best place to get all the newbie eqs AFTER becoming a fledgeling vampire would be: Plain's Outpost area. You will need the Obsidian ring here, 3 pendants Jade, Sapphire and Golden pendant/amulet. Remember to align good first before training avatar. You will need the advantage of good alignment for the mobs here to jump in and aid you. The moment they do, you can flee and come back with a popcorn =)

  • As a guideline, these are what you need as a Neonate vampire with GOOD ALIGNMENT:

  • [Around Neck ] A dark blue sapphire amulet (lightning shield)

  • [On Head ] Blackened Iron Visor (from commander gallin)
  • [On Legs ] a pair of bone greaves
  • [On Feet ] the claws of Typhoeus (fly spell)
  • [On Hands ] gauntlets of bravery
  • [On Arms ] Quartz Armplates (cost: 37000 gold)
  • [Around Body ] a white cloak (sanctuary protection spell)
  • [Around Waist ] the belt of the universe (clanbelt with fireshield)
  • [Around Wrist ] a bone bracer (4 hit and dam, +3str)
  • [Around Wrist ] a bone bracer (4 hit and dam, +3str)
  • [Right Hand ] Rescue's soul fang (Acidshield)
  • [Left Hand ] Rescue's soul hammer (Acidshield)
  • [On Face ] a sheer bone mask (from Cold Storage in Befallen)

  • Jade Amulet (neck) - Iceshield (from Lieutenant Maesyn, +2wis +2str)
  • A dark blue sapphire amulet (neck) - Lightning Shield (Lieutenant Taragoth +2 int, +3str, -10ac)
  • A golden pendant (neck) - fireshield (Lieutenant Gideon +2 con +2 str, fireshield),
  • An obsidian ring (finger) - Fireshield (Commander Gallin, 4hit, +2 wis, +3 int, ac-5)
  • Soul weapons (wielded) e.g soul blade, soul claw, soul dagger etc - Acidshield (cast soul, recommended to eat pill from newbie zone as it will produce supreme spell level of soul blades)
  • Empyrean Band (finger) 5hit/dam, +1 to all stats (finger) for lightning shield and - @Tristam Catacombs From Giant Blue Portal room, go 1 west, 1 south, 2 east. There will be a rock in the middle of the room. The band is in this rock (just get shadowplane when you hit 20 yrs old, ask someone to bash and tank the room, get out of shadow and type "get all rock". Then quickly enter back shadowplane, go west and north and recall. Easy peasy.)
  • A ring of woven silver ivy (finger, carried by Laine the Blackwatch Captain in Alaynia). 5hit/dam, passdoor spell.
  • a sheer bone mask (face). +6 hit, sav vs spell -2, ac-15, invis spell). Found inside the room "Cold Storage" in the area Befallen. Just go ultima, cast teleport local once, then hunt for timelord. The moment you see the room Desert Entrance

, stop hunting, go north, west, 2 south and east. You will reach Befallen. HOW TO GET THIS MASK?? Cast a clone, then enter shadowplane and hunt for "ice skeleton" and you will reach the the "Cold storage" room. There you will see

"There are half-frozen corpses stacked ceiling to floor like cord-wood, covering more than half the floor".

Cast guardian, order all get all corpse. TADA! The mask is yours. (Don't get out of shadowplane yet! You will be raped. That's a promise.) Hunt back your clone to the entrance, order demon drop all, unshadow, get mask and recall out.)

  • For gloves: Try gauntlets of bravery in camelot. Much easier to do and kill compared to blackhands in vamp pits. 5hit and 5 dam.
  • For bracers and leggings, consider those from Caves of the Vishna'Ak. Items are non-autoclaim, anyone can easily kill. Even you can do it yourself (GS all spells recommended else there will be too many fleeing for regen and all). The stats of the "Bone Bracers" the guards carry, has 4hit4dam, -10ac and +3 str.

As for the greaves, they are +4hit and dam, -15ac and -3save vs spell.

  • Cloak: A long black cape carried by An old vampire in Lost City. stats are +5hit/+5dam.
  • Head eq: Mind of Cruelty from Elizabeth Bathory in Bathory. +5hit/+5dam.
  • Chest armour: An Elite Bathory Breastplate from Bathory Knight. +5hit/dam.
  • Boots: Lamorak spurs (4 hit 4 dam) from Camelot OR claws of Typheous from Hades (+4 hit and dam, fly spell included).
